Do I need to have a trial?

Yes, I strongly recommend that all brides have a trial. This is the most important part of the process where we discuss all of your ideas and create your perfect look, which is then fully documented and will be re-created on your wedding day.

I do also suggest that all members of the bridal party also have a trial but it is not essential. We can discuss their make-up styles at your trial if necessary.

How long will the trial take?

There is no set time limit on trials, but a bridal trial usually lasts 60-90 minutes and a bridesmaid’s or mother of the bride or groom’s trial is typically 45 minutes.

What products do you use?

The majority of my make-up kit is MAC as it is so highly pigmented and extremely long lasting. However, I do have a few favourite products from brands such as Chanel, Dior, Bobbi brown, Laura Mercier, Nars, Estee Lauder, Tom Ford, Smashbox and Dermalogica among others.

Where are you based and which areas do you cover?

I am based in between Folkestone and Canterbury in Kent, although I regularly travel to London, Surry, Sussex and Essex as well as the rest of the UK and internationally.

Do you charge travel expenses?

My prices include travel expenses for a 15 mile radius from my home address, if the location exceeds this then I will provide you with a personalised quote for travel expenses.

Once I’ve had my make-up applied what products will I need to top up throughout the day?

I always recommend carrying lip products with you so you’re able to re-apply them throughout the day when needed and possibly translucent powder to keep any excess shine at bay, especially if you have oily or combination skin. I will always suggest suitable products for you to purchase.

Do I have to pay extra for false eyelashes?

No, all of my make-up prices are inclusive of individual or strip false eyelashes.

Are all the photos on your website your own work?

Yes, absolutely. All of the photos in my portfolio feature my own Make-Up Artistry.

Is Make-Up Artistry your full time job or just a hobby?

Make-Up is my full time job (however, because I love it so much I would class it as a hobby too!) I work part time as a Make-Up Artist at MAC cosmetics, as well as a freelance Make-Up Artist and Beauty Therapist the rest of the time!
